Commission a painting

Transform your pet’s photo into a work of art!  Send me your pet photos and let me do the rest.

• Hand painted using professional acrylic paints on 1-3/8″ deep-edge canvas made with natural, unbleached cotton duck. The canvas is stretched around and painted on all four edges as well as the canvas surface, making it ready to hang with or without a frame.
• Available sizes:
  • 8″ x 10″
  • 9″ x 12″
  • 11″ x 14″
  • 12″ x 12″
  • 16″ x 20″
• Turnaround time varies depending on workload and other factors, including complexity of the order. Usually, a painting of the sizes above would be completed within 14-21 days.
• Shipping is free within the continental USA; international shipping is available at cost.

The process

1. Connect with me; submit digital photo(s); and select a size.
2. Once payment is processed, time starts ticking for me.
3. I will email you a photo of the final painting for your approval at which point I will work on any requested small changes until you are 100% happy with the painting.
4. Upon your final approval and payment, I will ship the painting to you.

Photography tips

Please provide the best quality photo you have. Include multiple photos, even if you have a favorite one you want me to paint for you. These photos will allow me to get to know your pet better.

Adjustments can be made for shadows or poor lighting; however, better pet photos make it easy for me. Subjects, features or backgrounds can be omitted if desired.

If you need to take a picture:

• Shoot from pet’s eye level or below by sitting on the floor or lying on your belly. See gallery for ideas.
• Use natural lighting either outside or indoors by the light of a nearby window and avoid flash.
• Be patient. Have someone attract your pet’s attention behind you while you shoot or hold a treat in your hand close to the camera.
